About Us

By joining the State Police Credit Union, you become a member of an elite group of public servants belonging to Emergency Services and Public Protection. Both active and retired along with their family members are welcome.

The credit union was established in 1960, and today we service safety personnel and their families throughout Connecticut.

You may wonder what the difference is between a credit union and a bank. As far as financial services you will need, they are basically the same. We offer everything banks do. But there are other advantages we have for you as a member of our credit union that you don’t get as a customer of a bank.

As a member, you are an owner shareholder. You become one when you fill out the membership application and make a deposit of $25.00 or more. You have a vote and a say each year during our annual meeting for Board members being elected.
