SPCU Announces New President and CEO

Effective March 1, 2023, John Gasiorowski has been named the new President and Chief Executive Officer of the State Police Credit Union. John steps up from his current position as the Credit Union’s Chief Financial Officer following the retirement of President & CEO Cynthia Graham on February 28, 2023.

With more than thirty years of experience in the financial services industry, John has been working with credit unions since 1991 in many capacities. He has held two CEO positions and also worked as Controller at Sikorsky Credit Union. Prior to that, John worked for Fiserv as a regional installer supporting credit unions which lead to his career in the industry.

“I always have believed that the members are the purpose of our work. Whether it is in the form of better rates, more convenient services, or advancement of technology, it is our job to make life easier and to promote financial thrift for our members,” according to John. “I would like to thank Cindi Graham for hiring me originally as CFO of your credit union. I will miss working with her and I hope I can be half as successful as she has been during her tenure at the State Police Credit Union. I’m also thankful to the Board of Directors for this wonderful opportunity. It is an honor to serve as your next CEO. My door will always be open to our valued members if you have any questions or concerns.”

John graduated from Western CT State University with a dual degree in math and computer science. He resides in Shelton with his wife Sandy.
